Much has been spoken about the attitude of some Catholics who come for Mass, some late, some unprepared, some in indecent dress and some busying themselves with other activities. God told Moses – to tell the people to prepare themselves for two days, washing their clothing and get themselves ready for the third day, because he will descend on Mount Sinai. How I wish that such attitudes of preparedness would be present at every Eucharist, so that we see the signs of God’s presence. We wash not just our clothes but we cleanse our hearts so that God will come and dwell in our hearts.
